The Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) was established in 1964 by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka as the Bankers’ Training Institute (BTI Ceylon) and incorporated in 1979 under Act No. 26 of Parliament. IBSL provides professional banking education, combining academic excellence, industry-relevant training, and practical skills, preparing students for successful careers in banking, finance, and related sectors locally and internationally.
