The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) was founded in 1999 and is approved by the Ministry of Education & University Grants Commission (UGC), standing as a symbol of excellence in private tertiary education. Celebrating 25 years, SLIIT is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and the International Association of Universities (IAU). It is also the first Sri Lankan institute accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK.
